The standard that sweet cherries are judged against – introduced in 1875 and still growing strong! The deliciously large, firm black cherry that eastern Washington is famous for.
It grows well in dry climates but the fruit may crack if rain comes during harvest time. Needs a pollinizer, which can be any other sweet cherry variety.
- Produces a large crop of big and meaty cherries that ripen in the summer, @July
- Pollinator required, Black Tartarian, Sweetheart or Ranier Cherry.
