“Apple liberty” refers to a disease-resistant apple cultivar developed at the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station. It is known for its dark red skin, crisp, juicy flesh with a sweet-tart flavor, and excellent resistance to diseases like scab, mildew, and fire blight. The Liberty apple is a versatile fruit, good for eating fresh, and for use in cooking, baking, and cider.
Pollinator needed such as: Honeycrisp, Gala, Golden Delicious, or Dolgo Crabapple.
Ripens: Late September – Early October
